Physical Evidence of Bed Bugs
1. Aggregation is a fancy word for a cluster of spots. In relation to bed bugs, these would be clusters of dark brown or black stains, pictured below. These stains are bed bug feces.
2. Bed Bug Bites are impossible to specifically identify. Some people react to bites differently, making them differ from person to person. But if you start waking up to small red dots, they might be bed bug bites. The problem is, mosquito bites and other insect bites look similar to bed bug bites, and some people don’t even react to bites.
3. Casings or molted skins are left behind after a bed bug has a complete meal once per growing stage. There are some examples in the picture below.
Where to Look for Bed Bug Signs
Bed bugs love to nest in tight spaces. They sleep during the day and feed at night, so they need a good hiding spot
